Wonderful park with a very informative welcome center. The boardwalk trail is great and we saw lots of woodpeckers. Definitely coming back.

We went for the eclipse and the main entrance to the park was beautiful and neat. It had potable water, helpful park stewards and diagrams/information on the park at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center.

I was surprised to find that they had non-guided touring deck around parts of the park to be ADA compliant.

The forest was amazing, and we are here in December. I can only imagine the beauty in the spring and autumn. Will definitely check it out then.

Very unusual national park. LOVED the floodplains and history of the place. Be warned: mosquitoes thrive here. However, we were well prepared by spraying mosquito spray. Those things were all around us but didn't land. I walked out with a wonderful experience and zero mosquito bites.

The hiking here is great, although there aren't as many trails as I would like, most of it can be hiked fairly quickly. The scenery is beautiful, and the flora is very unique. We camped at the park, and were unfortunately flooded out of our campsite. Be prepared for getting wet if you plan on visiting, it floods quite a bit at the park, enough to cover entire boardwalks!

I enjoyed it very much, would highly recommend it and plan to return.

A gem in the middle of South Carolina. I'm even from the West and accustomed to parks like Rocky Mountain National Park.

Even with all the people there for the eclipse, the park controlled how many cars came in but were kind and helpful about our questions. With how large the park was it didn't seem that there was an overwhelming amount of people there.
